Dear parents,

Summer and its unique needs are right around the corner. I have a great idea for you and the entire family. How about a Sum- mer Reading Program?

Pick our 5 or 6 books to read, Different books for each person, Maybe one book that everyone reads together!

Then each week make reports on what you have read to each other. Create discussions and encourage deep thinking on the wonderful ideas that you read. I will post books this week for the younger students and next week for the upper grades. I will also be posting my summer reading selections, in case you want to talk about the books with me!

Scholastic.com/summer has a magical summer of reading program . They encourage students to discover the joy and magic of reading. Students can register online, log in their reading minutes, access free resources and earn digital prizes.

There are other programs, check your library for more fun events. Read!

Kindergarten Graduation is this coming this Thursday, May 31 at 7:00 pm. This year’s graduation will be held in the church sanctuary. We are so grateful to the Simi Adventist Church for this opportunity. Since our classes are growing, it is a must to have room for the service.

The church will not be live streaming the event due to technical difficulties but we will arrange for it to be live streamed online through Facebook.

There will be light refreshments after the service and all are invited.

For all our Kindergarten and T-K students, school ends on Wednesday, June 6 at 3:15 pm.

Have fun in the summer and we are looking for a great year in Mrs. Baker’s room.

In Gratitude,

Stephen Stokes
Principal
