We have come to the end of the year and now it is time to celebrate our graduates. All our students have grown and it is especially gratifiying for me as principal to see our youngest graduates move to the first form of formal education. The excitement in their eyes as they feel the first glow of accomplishment in school. Next week we get to watch as our oldest move on to a greater challenge of High School. They too have a bright light, one of knowing that they must be even better, one that shows they have grown to realize this is but a step in a life long journey of advancement. Both deserve our heartiest congratulations. Please join us this Thursday and next at 7:00 pm in our Simi Valley Adventist Church to witness these wonderful moments.
In our year, we have taken on The Fruits of the Spirit as our calling card. Each week in our chapels, we spent time to study and discover what those fruits from God do for us and for our lives. It was so beautiful to hear our students sing each week about Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. I urge each of our families to dedicate ourselves each day to teaching our children just what a life with God can create within each of us and our families. Next year we are going to use the Beatitudes from Jesus teaching on the mount to inspire our weekly celebration with God. If you have a great speaker who would be willing to come and talk with our students on this topic, I would love to hear from you and schedule them to be our special guest.
Once again, thank you for the privilege and honor of have your children, your most precious treasure in our school. God bless you each in the coming summer.
