I want to start by assuring all our parents that SVAS is committed to the highest quality Christian education. We love to be at the cutting edge of educational philosophy while maintaining the traditions that have made Adventist Education successful since 1853 when Martha Byington opened the first known church school for Sabbatarian Adventists in Buck's Bridge, New York. Today, you'll find Adventist schools in nearly 150 countries. 85,000 teachers, 1.5 million students, 7,500 schools—the Adventist school system is one of the largest Christian educational systems in the world. I am proud to state that my entire career in the US has been within this amazing system. My 5 years of international work only served to convince me of the quality of our schools. We can always be better! With your help and advice we can continue to make SVAS the best elementary school in all of Simi Valley. Please talk to your teachers. Send thoughts, ideas, helpful clues, or just a word of support. Our teachers work so very hard to make each day count.

On Page Two, you will find the schedule for our MONDAY GOLDEN SPOTLIGHT. If your child wants to perform or shine on that day we can make any arrangement that is needed.
International day and Grandparents luncheon was AMAZING! I am so happy our families were able to come and so many of you gave so well to our potluck feast! Every family was so generous and I thank God for each of you. A special shout out to Bertoldo & Melissa Aguayo, Delany and Kaden’s parents. Along with our Home and School secretary Bridgette Staubach, they really helped in making our flower arrangements and getting the gym just right.
In Deepest Gratitude,
